Whether you got here by a nudge from me personally or a serendipitous word search, welcome.
My name is Saara Dutton and I am a writer and performer based in New York. After nixing the idea of wearing a sandwich
board and milling around Times Square (a trip to Lumber Boys on Second Avenue prompted the realization that I'd look like
an asshole) I decided to hock my literary wares and upcoming performance dates here, thus reducing the potential for excess
humiliation. Whether or not it is more effective remains to be seen. You may very well see me wearing that sandwich board
someday soon, jockeying for a place in tourists' photos along with The Naked Cowboy.
I have been published in The New York Times, Salon, The St. Petersburg Times, Bust magazine and Ducts webzine.
These stories are as varied as applying to become a Clandestine Operative in the CIA, taking a tour of strip joints in
Atlanta, a trip to The HolyLand theme park in Orlando, mingling with the animals at a Furry Convention in Connecticut, and
